TWO Indian consulates were attacked in a remote Afghan town last week. Consulates usually exist to facilitate trade and travel between nations. The Wall Street Journal has claimed that the dubious trade here is a transfer of arms to Baluchi insurgents who want freedom for their territory. Interestingly, Iran gas cannot be piped to India through the Baluchi desert because of the violence. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A sorry tale of incompetence and failure at the Indian Command Authority level. Forget about Doval, Foval and the tier two crew. The buck stops at the Defence Minister. Note, Mr. Sandeep Heble.
Since India is not very good at learning lessons from previous attacks, then there is no alternative to taking the battle to Pakistani territory. You can't live forever in fear of Pakistan's nuclear armoury. He is as scared of you as you are of him. If anything, his fear should be greater than yours but he is not showing it, you are. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-35232599 Roland Francis Toronto
