DAYANAND BANDODKAR ROAD UNDER STRESS STEPHEN DIAS DONA PAULA 9422443110 DAYANAND BANDODKAR ROAD UNDER STRESS Dayanand Bandodkar road has been recently renovated with a fresh thick asphalt all along the Miramar to Panjim highway road. Hopefully this asphalt mixture is of good quality otherwise it will come up. <It so happened that the level of footpath and also on sorrounding houses are fallen below the level of asphalt while the drainage system is turned useless as it is completely blocked and cannot carry the storm water to the River Mandovi. Also the chambers covers fitted on metallic plates all along the main road are seen lifted for maintenance and lots of garbage and other material existed in their drain all along the main road. I am sure the inundation on roads in this coming monsoon will be more severe and will create hazard to vehicular traffic as well as to pedestrians. Another issue is newly man made instalation having permanent steel enclosures which are coming up shall cause accidents when high speed vehicles travelling with high beams will blank the incoming vehicular traffic especially the two wheelers. Earlier those plastic beacons which were installed could be more safer and better choice. In order to have some relief, the RTO and other government authorities should see that the roads must have proper illumination and must be fitted with speed limits boards and cameras at prominent places and not on electricity poles.
