This is just to inform friends who Dan knew in Goa during his 25 years of stay passed away in Dartmouth, Canada on the 9th August of cancer. He was 88 years. Dan was my immediate neighbor in Betim. Our place was bang on the River Mandovi. He once told me that standing on his balcony reminded him of his hometown Prince Edward Island in Canada. Dan was my neighbour ever since I came to live in Goa in 1998 after my husband passed away in Ahmedabad. He was an excellent neighbour and a very caring and good friend. After his wife, Germana died in 2011 he went back to Canada in 2012. Used to receive every week mails from him. He wanted to know all the news of Goa, and about Betim. Dan RIP
