Recently a good Goan friend from Bombay, passed away in New York City. He was a
long-time (30-year) resident of the Big Apple. At the funeral, his family
requested that in lieu of flowers, make a donation to a parish-school
foundation formed in his name. The fund was to help needy students at the
school. The total donations / collections was about $10,000:00.
His children matched the amount.
In spite of the tragic loss, a great win-win-win for all. A Foundation that
would make my friend very proud. Kudos to the family.
