---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GYM INSTRUCTOR PASSES AWAY
There has been a lot of discussion about the gym instructor who died in Hospicio Hospital and also about the goodness of the doctors who looked after the deceased gym instructor. However no one seems to be discussing the issue of the vandalism and the damage to the public property by the sympathizers of the dead instructor. While I understand their pain at losing a friend, there is no excuse for violence and damaging public property. I'm sorry to say it but they acted no better than goons. Unfortunately it seems that such vandalism in Goa is not taken seriously and this is a major problem. In this case these goons not only vandalized the Hospicio Hospital but put at risk public servants at the Hospicio. This damage will have to be rectified at the cost of the common man. Also until things are fixed everyone will have to suffer from delays, lack of proper healthcare, etc. And also, doctors who should be able to function free from fear may not perform at optimum levels. We all know Micky is in jail for attacking a public servant. Here also, I would insist the main issue of vandalizing public property should brought to the fore, and the guilty who were involved in insulting the doctors and damaging the property should be identified and punished so that some of them can give company to Micky Pacheco who is languishing in jail. As an Aam Admi of Goa I consider public property as my property and I would want the present government to act immediately in public interest so that the doctors, no matter who they may be are not attacked by goons and law takes its own course. Let us not discuss about the side issues which may be technical in nature, as the common man is only interested in safe hospitals and equality before the judicial system. Just as Micky is in jail we must ensure that those who attached the doctor and vandalized public property are immediately behind bars, after police filling an F.I.R.
