Many are now commenting on the need for forum manners. I agree with Melvin and
Fredrick issues relating to Forum Manners. I find the language used by some
to be
particularly offensive and something i have mainlly experienced on Goa net. In
the
past i have suggested that the goa netters concerned engaged in such offensive
exchanges should be courageous to enough to meet their adverseries ,face to
face and
talk out their viewpoints .And yes spare the rest of us from this experience .
I
wanted to unsubscribe on several occasions but really goanet is the only way i
can
keep in touch with Goa and is simply cannot afford to cut myself off from this
information lifeline. ( even in this Vol 4 issue 3 we still see outstanding
personal and nasty exchanges between two people.....I commend Fredrick for not
being
drawn into these battles and for being such a great facilitator . He is the
role
model of a generous person.... hopefully in 2009 we will use public fora for
more
productive information exchanges and networking . Goa net is information forum
and a
platform for keeping informed about Goa but it can also serve as a networking
mechanism and a forum or platform for advocacy and action.
