Ms Vimal Shirodkar homeguard is in the front pages of print ,social and electronic media Everyone has great admiration for this simple, unassuming soul.She toiled consistently for Donkey years with dedication,consistency , love and commitment for her duty .It is sad and disgusting that there is no provision for retirement benefits even after 40 years of qualifying service,where as MLA/ MP rightly and legally claims pension even for a day after being elected.There is no doubt that some organisations felicitated her on retirement. That gesture of appreciation ,well deserved , certainly added to her joys. PCTrust on requests after disaster was first to provide details of SB AC on requests to interested donors and others too, much before politicians made a public spectacle of concerns.On retirement .Eng Gavi Coutinho along with wellwishers ,Chinchinim provided her with a purse of Rs 67 ,000. in recognition of her dedicated services .Vimal loved what she did and did best what she loved .She has thus laid footprints on sands of time for the cause of public service with love ,as part of her duty without expectations.The honest public response immediately to her plight , much before tamasha of Govt, to exploit public sentiments has not gone unnoticed .
