>From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Kolkata to Kutch Mandvi, India is being
submerged by a relentless sea of garbage, litter, rubbish, refuse, junk,
gunk, whatever you want to call it. And the mystery of it is, where is it
all coming from? In terms of personal hygiene, Indians are among the
cleanest people in the world. Indians bathe every day. Sometimes several
times a day, especially if they're attending the world's biggest bathing
festival called the Mahakumbh Mela. Indian homes - in city or village - are
kept scrupulously clean.
