*Ten men Sporting Goa held by ten men Shillong *

Ten men Sporting Clube de Goa was held by ten men Shillong Lajong to a 1-1
draw in the Hero I-League, at PJN Stadium, Fatorda on Saturday. Both goals
came in the first half.

Sporting Goa opened the scoring after just four minutes when Odafa Okoli
used sublime skill to send a neat through ball for Anthony Wolfe who coolly
finished it off with a piercing drive.

Three minutes before the break, Lajong drew level after Cornell Glen who
had hit the post earlier, made no mistake with this opportunity to fire in
the equaliser.

The second half was just as lively, with Odafa rattling the cross bar with
a stinging drive from the edge of the box.

Early in the second half the Shillong Goalkeeper Vishal Kaith received a
straight red card for handling the ball outside the box, after Wolfe was
through on goal.

In the closing stages, Sporting Goa defender Joyner Lourenco saw red after
receiving his second caution of the game for a reckless tackle.

The Flaming Oranje through everything at their opponents and deserved to
win, but could not find the breakthrough.

Sporting Goa striker Odafa Oneyka Okoli was adjudged the Hero man of the
match.
