Almost completed one year since the file was forwarded to Dy. Collector office (for conversion senad). The concerned clerk was not there at his desk, on enquiry I was told that he is in the court with Dy. collector (the court is next to the office and one could see him from outside). Waited there for more than 2hrs till he comes out of the court. Upon checking my file, I was told Forest Dept & TCP reports are now come but pending for want of Mamlatdar's report (whose dept located in the same building/floor as Dy.Collector). I then rushed to see the concerned person who inspected the site more than 6 months ago. He is on leave and no one knows when he is back. What option I have now? Went to see the Mamlatdar straightaway. The young chap seems to be very polite and understanding. When I said the case is pending with your dept for more than 6 months(total 11months), he was surprised too... Told me to come and see him next day at 3pm and that he will personally sort it out. Same day, when I sat in the Panjim bound KTC shuttle, guess who I saw behind my seat? It was none other than the said young chap -Mamlatdar.
