Why is this debate going on for such a long time?
This is getting out of hand.
If any one calls me Goanese, I immediately know that he does not have much
education, therefore no point in talking about it to him.
I have been call a Goanese several times in India, by people who do not have
a sound
Personally I could not care less whether someone calls me a Goemkar, Goes,
Goan,Goanese
or plain Goigoi.
It is apparent that mostly Goans who are settled in India do not like the
term Goanese,for it
does not differentiate literate Goans from labouring class of Goans. I was
