The death of Doutor José Colaço has left me in utter shock. Just yesterday I
visited his FB page. I have never met Doutor José in person but have known him
since the early 2000´s on cyberspace. I remember JC (as he used to sign out) as
a quick learner, curious to know the truth of the events of

I knew him in Medical college, never met him after that.
His brother-in-Law Dr. Gerard was of my batch though.
My sincere condolences. Rest in peace my friend.

While I sometimes had a tough time agreeing with Dr. Colaco, there were
things about him that impressed me.
Dr. Jose was a man in love with his birthplace. He was also unable to stand
what became of it and went into political/economic exile. Many of us have

It's hard to believe that we won't be reading jc again.
Like many others I too had never met him personally and our acquaintance
was through correspondence on internet mailing lists where he would write
on a plethora of issues. On subjects that he was expert at - medicine and
medico-legal matters
