Mehta and AMC (City) Mrs Pallavi Darade and Mayor Mrs Ambrekar.Intimation to
all the political parties bureaucrats and all concerned citizens .
LISTEN to ME or I WILL PULL You UP in the House says an elected representative
to any bureaucrat irrespective he is an IPS , IAS or any one working below
them,I have seen all helpless before politicians.
LISTEN to ME or I WILL have You transferred says elected representative to any
bureaucrat . Well this has / had been happening and seems a common trend. With
BJP Coming into power ,categorically Hon'ble PM and Hon'ble CM had initially
stated there would be no appeasement and choice of postings . As soon as MLA's
MP's came in power the first thing they did was transferred the officers and
brought one's of their choices .H(W) Ward and Building Proposal department was
the best example with most of the offices shunted out .
BEST to BEST and HONEST OFFICERS , I have seen tongue-tied , sitting like dumb
clucks , helpless with the constant fear of being humiliated , pulled up or
being transferered for no reason .
Yesterday , I was in M.C.G.M Head Office I was shocked to learn how the
Education Officer Mrs S.Jogi was being pulled up by Education Chairman of BJP
Mrs Ritu Tawade . There was no professional reason stated . I was told the
issue will be raised in the Committee meeting today ie 24/09/15 in the house
and Education Committee chairman through BJP President Mr Ashish Shelar was
compelling Municipal Commissioner Mr Ajoy Mehta to do the same .. NO one had a
specific reason to give. I could not believe it .
Compelled ,I text Mr Ashish Shelar about the same . I questioned him in various
text messages. All Mr Shelar did was replied ,"I am unaware ", "Please let me
check ". I appraised him that I would bring this harassment and high handedness
of the corporator to the notice of all bureaucrats and citizens.
I even went to the extent of asking Mr Shelar if he knew her, Did he work with
Mr Jogi . Did he ever see her or ask her side of story if there was any
problem. When we are in power and position we cannot be tyrants .How can these
first time nominated councillors lob harass and humiliate an individual who has
given dedicated, committed service to the city. One should through Mrs Jogi's
personal record file too.In the final year of retirement one cannot and should
not be treated like this and that to for being honest .
What is the punch line of the BJP Councillors ? Can we know ?.Do they want
their own people recruited so the MCGM Educational Plots get dereserved or are
given to these elected representatives ,their friends and family members to run
their offices or business .The Ex- Education Chairman Mr Shelar's spirit
towards education and I have personally heard him share in MCGM AMC (City)
Office . What has he got to say ?
Many of us can vouch for Mrs S.Jogi's honesty .Though as an Education Officer ,
I had a very little chance of interaction with her but in 7 years in all her
postings ,concerned with H (W) , K (W) and H (E) MCGM schools , I was quite
often in touch with her . Similarly, Mrs Vidya Vaidya , Mrs Nitin Wadhwani and
many of us can stand for her and vouch for her honesty , her knowledge about
her work, her dedication in service too.
I was told all BJP Corporators meeting was called by Mr Ashish Shelar and
orders were issued . I told this to Mr Shelar. He said "it's not true ." I
further pointed this high handedness was because the elected representatives
were making way for Mr Keluskar as an Education Officer . Transfers seem to
have become a business . Either one has to pay for a better posting or one has
to belong to the particular lobby of politicians or officers .
I requested Mr Ashish Shelar to ask his party councillor education chairperson
Mrs Ritu Tawade and revert to me. he said "He would inquire ". I am waiting for
his reply . We would like to know the real issue ? Hon'ble CM Mr Devendra
Fadnavis please intervene and let us know if your party has now changed it's
charter of transparency, accountability or it is only fopr bureaucracy and
common people . Today it is bureaucracy, tomorrow it may be any of us . We are
unsafe .
Municipal Commissioner Mr Ajoy Mehta, I am told is an upright and a no nonsense
man . When he had heard and experienced the same in a meeting , we heaved a
sigh of relief but on few issues and now on the above we are left to wonder how
any why Municipal Commissioner is getting pressurized . How can Municipal
Commissioner not stand for his staff working under him?
Can Municipal Commissioner Mr Mehta and AMC (City ) explain what is happening
and why are they qiiet and helpless? Are they trying to save their own
position?
Elected representatives come and go but bureaucrats either get transferred or
promoted till retirement ? Earlier too now DMC to MC Mr Ramesh Pawar had faced
a similar humiliation in an internal staff problem. At that point of time Mr
Sitaram Kunte was quiet too. Why is Mr Mehta quiet over this ?
