The discussion will touch upon concerns relating to the recent Maharashtra
Police Ordinance, the Supreme Court order on police reforms and its
implementation in Maharashtra, Police-politician nexus, safety of women and
policing, police abusing its powers, police refusing to lodge complaints,
improving police-citizen interaction, community policing, communal violence and
police response and security and terror. There will be an interactive session
in which concerned citizens will be encouraged to share their ideas and ask
questions of the panellists on this subject matter.
Action plan will also be drawn up how to make this a poll issue.
