This is an interesting question about the whereabouts of "mestisos".
Perhaps they're closer than you think. Of the people of Goan ancestry
within my generation with who I have either met or corresponded over
the years, the majority of them always claim Portuguese ancestry.

but insisted they were descendentes meaning of pure Portuguese pedigree.
