The pro-mining morcha criticised CEC, NGOs but did they criticise the main culprits the few priviliged who illegally mined on a massive scale in alliance with Goa's MLAs, looted the states resources and devastated the environment and its water resources. Why are the thieves not also criticised and held accountable! If they did then I would give some credibility to the pro-mining morcha. The CEC/NGO was not fictitious but based on shocking facts.
The mining lobby should know that Goa and its resources are for all Goans and not the few to make huge amounts of illegal income. These Miners should compensate the Mining Dependent people, this is the solution to helping the affected people!! The destructive mining lobby can claim that some thousand protested but that does not mean Majority i.e lakhs of Goans support mining!! Arwin Mesquita. </div>
