      Dear All

Thanks to all those who attended the mass on Friday for Jonathan at St
Peter &
St Paul 's church, Mitcham.

The mass was attended by around 80 or so Goans. This included 20 or so
Goans
from Reading including Jonathan's parents, family, friends and relatives.

I know it was a cold evening but it would have been good to see more
Goans
living in and around the area, at the mass to show our support and solidarity
as a
community.

Needless to say Jonathan's Mum is really distraught and it's hard to
imagine
what the family's going through. I urge all Goans to continue praying for
Jonathan's
safe return and to do what you can to help in any way. A Facebook site has been
set
up for Jonathan, the link for which is:

      http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=44562113373

Whilst it would be wrong to speculate on reasons for Jonathan's
disappearance,
it's sad that he was so unhappy living in England that he wanted to return to
Goa
and may have left home as a result.

I think one of the lessons we can learn as a community is to try and
support
Goans who come to England so they feel welcome and more at home.

      Regards

      Fiona
