Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had promised good governance but this case of grave injustice to a teacher from Saligao should put this government to utter shame. The government has insensitively shut its door on this teacher who is a mother of four young kids and is seeking justice.
The long drawn uncalled for harassment out of political vengeance to this teacher by the local Saligao MLA and now Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar is vey high-handed. The persecution of this teacher who resides in Saligao by the local MLA has been ongoing as the husband of the teacher has just been refusing to join the BJP. Though the government rule is that a teacher is transferred only after three to five years, at Dilip Parulekar’s instance this teacher has been transferred thrice over the last three years. This time 75 long kms away from her home. That was the furthest he could shunt her. Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte last week met the Chief Minister, who is also the Education Minister to plead the teacher’s case but Mr. Manohar Parrikar reportedly flatly told Rohan Khaunte that he was helpless as the transfer was done at the behest of Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar. So who is in command, Mr. Chief Minister? This case also only proves that the bureaucracy has totally lost its independence and is operating on overbearing political diktats. I would personally request Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to step in, as this grave injustice is not only against the teacher but a torture on her four young innocent kids. Such low level politics cannot be allowed in a civilized society. http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/p480x480/17481_206079689545847_373717928_n.jpg Aires Rodrigues T1 - B30, Ribandar Retreat Ribandar - Goa - 403006 Mobile: 9822684372
