-MACKEREL NOT SHEVTTO IS FISH OF THE MASSES---says Adelmo

This my friend Adelmo Fernandes from Vasco said everything well in some of
the section of Press on 4.1.2016 about the Mackerel being most important
especially for for the poor people but he forgot to mention its cost in
the market. Just yesterday during the peak season plenty of mackerel were
sold in Panjim market for 2 big mackerel or locally called "BANGDE" for
Rs.100/- and also another poor man fish prawns or locally called "SUNGTAM"
of different varieties were sold between Rs.350/ to 550/- per kilo and all
these varieties of poor man fish goes to Hotels and hardly poor man
can relinquish this fish at home. Government or Fisheries Dept must work
out some modalities to bring down the price or acquire more catch by their
trawlers.
Perhaps there is any guess that the Fishery Dept is not in hand in gloves
with these fishermen?
