Seva Diwas – by Stephen Dias, Dona Paula Wednesday - Sep 20, 2017 [image: Seva Diwas – by Stephen Dias, Dona Paula] Sidharth Kunkoliencar ex-MLA of Panjim sent me an invitation to attend the Oath Ceremony for Swachh Bharat – Nitol Mission in presence of CM Manohar Parrikar and CCP Mayor Surendra Furtado opposite Goa Urban Bank, Mala on 17th Sept at 10 AM on the occasion of the birthday of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi in service of our Nation as SEVA DIWAS as I am resident for many years at Mala-Portais.
I did not attend the ceremony as I had prior commitments but managed to pay a visit at 17:00 hours to see what was done, and to get an update from my friends who are residents of Mala about what took place during the programme. I was told and saw that the important assignment was to inaugurate the new fancy tiling work and steps constructed near the Goa Urban Bank premises. The Swachh Panjim mission probably was a pretext to get these steps inaugurated. The Swachh Bharat cleanliness work should have been celebrated by cleaning some other deserving locations at Mala where garbage is piled up, and not this area where hardly any garbage is seen. In fact the little garbage cleared in this area was dumped behind the Mushtifund Medium School in a by-lane close to the inaugural place. Also, when I climbed up the nice, clean, for-show steps and looked around, I saw the rooftops of the huts looking quite shabby and the area badly keptSo even the for-show Swachh Bharat was hardly done. In this context I would like to mention that Fonte Phoenix (fountain) at Mala is in dilapidated condition for many years work is not progressing and the ex-Councilor Menino D’Cruz has not taken any interest so far. Neither has the ex-MLA of Panjim Sidharth Kuncalienkar who only bothered to see the Boca de Vaca fountain near his residence well maintained. Modiji's birthday could have been celebrated much better and not in this area with the fake display of Swachh Bharat having now a board fixed at the first climbing steps as "Initiative Amrut Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation" Back Comments (4) Mel de goa Wednesday - Sep 20, 2017 If this is the state of the King cobras own backyard, what must be the state of the interior/ new conquest areas? King Cobra 🐍 has been CM and even Defence Minister and his own consistency stinks. Strangely you dont see any of this in the mainstream press or online media. They have been bought over, scared or themselves RSS supporters. At least the Catholic community thankfully has ability to stand on their own feet. Be it tourism , ship, Portuguese passport, gulf or land owning. I pity the bahujan samaj Hindus, who rely totally on th Govt as their Mai Baap. Specially in the interior areas, who Parrikar is screwing nicely. No wonder they even voted an incumbent CM out, one of the few in the history of India Mel de goa Wednesday - Sep 20, 2017 Mevaa diwas Ignatius / Agassaim Wednesday - Sep 20, 2017 Tnx for the info Steeve bab. You should have raised this issue with Sidharth as he got a very good rapport with the CM coz he has been appointed as vice chairman of GSIDC.
