Angelo da Fonseca is now acknowledged amongst seminal Indian modernists, as one of the greatest painters of the 20th century. But much of his spectacular Shantiniketan-influenced oeuvre remains unknown and largely unseen even by art historians and scholars.
Do not miss the rare opportunity to explore this great Goan artist's oeuvre with Délio de Mendonça, whose pioneering scholarship and research has played the major role in bringing this forgotten master back into the public eye. His lecture-presentation will be followed by a curatorial walk through the Panjim 175 exhibition, led by Vivek Menezes. At 5pm, another curatorial work through the exhibition will be led by Swati Salgaocar. All are welcome + entry is free. 19th December, 2018 @ old PWD complex, Panjim - 11.30am Angelo da Fonseca: The Forgotten Master Presentation by Délio de Mendonça Followed by Curatorial Walk led by Vivek Menezes - 5pm Curatorial Walk led by Swati Salgaocar
