Girgaum road is home to two churches and a dozen temples, all along the only wide passage way in town. The tracks cannot be routed over homes in the densely packed neighbourhood. I am not sure if there is an alternative. I have noticed that the four Fire Temples on the stretch have almost no congregation left to serve and are near devoid of faithful who worship. The protestors are not being reasonable.
