They do, even in wealthy NY, where million dollar bequests to the SJ Province 
are not infrequent.  I recieve requests specifically for their infirmary in the 
Bronx, home to a dozen octagens.  I once sent a London retiree to India, to 
re-visit a school he had built in the 60's.

I'm not sure the retired Jesuits need winter coats. But the fact is
that many Goans have gained immensely from access to
highly-subsidised, high-quality education. Religious or otherwise.

The challenge is: how do our communities help build and foster more
such institutions for the future? Bigger and better ones, maybe? FN
