We rented a taxi for local sight-seeing in Delhi.  The driver was an old 
sardar.
We began cracking sardarji jokes, just to insinuate the old man. But to our
surprise, the fellow remained unperturbed.

At the end of the sight-seeing, we paid up the hire-charges. The sardar 
returned
the change. Moreover, he gave each one of us a one rupee extra and said, (in
Hindi ) ,''Boys, since morning you have been telling sardarji jokes. I 
listened
to them all and let me tell you, some of them were in a very bad taste.  
Still,
I don't mind becoz I know that you are young blood and are yet to  see the
world. But I have just one request. Here I am giving you one rupee each. 
Give it
to the first sardar beggar that you come across in the city."

After several days, we still had that one rupee coin with us. We couldn't 
find a
single sardar begging on the streets of Delhi.

Then we realize. We all love sardar jokes. But the fact of matter is that 
Sikhs
are one of the most prosperous and diversified communities in the world. The
secret behind their universal success, according to me , is  their 
willingness
to do any job with utmost dedication.. A sardar will drive a truck or set up 
a
roadside garage or a dhaba, but he will never beg on the streets

This was really very nice story.I do not think I have seen a sardhaji 
begging. We may find christians begging and that is because we are too too 
religious that   we forget our next door neighbour.I have not seen a muslim 
begging too. I will talk about Christians as I am one and refrain from 
talking aboutothers .We have two types of beggars.One who think they can 
make lot of money with least effort while there are the poor who would 
rather sleep on empty stomach rather than beg. The church which includes the 
clergy and the lay people should instead of wasting  time  in unwanted 
things should devote their time to eradicate  poverty. We have caritas which 
is meant to look  after charity  and it does not, for if it had to  ,you 
would not see the poor at all.The christian in Goa have one habit that is to 
push our neighbour down rather than to raise him up.we are egoistic .We like 
to push our noses in the air and that is the reason our politicians have 
taken the catholics for a ride. We believe too much in our clergy who have 
taken us for a ride but everyone will still support them and join the ride.I 
have expressed what I feel like,if you want to  read this read or delete it 
but it is a fact
