Yunus Shaikh will speak on the topic 'My Journey Through GNU/Linux, FLOSS in the World of Business'. Shaikh is a founder-member of the GNU/Linux movement in Goa, and now Engineer in the Middle East, with Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, Etisalat, the UAE-based giant telecommunications services provider, currently operating in 15 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Africa and the 12th largest mobile network operator in the world, with a total customer base of more than 150 million. The speaker will also try to give a brief introduction on software-defined networks using openflow. and other related telecom domains where opensource is used extensively. This talk is open to all.
