When I was a kid, I remember buying it at 3 kings Feast, Cuelim Goa on January
6. My mother's favourite too.
These fruits used to sell like hot cakes and before the start of the Festachem
Vhodlem Mis (high Mass) all of them were gone. Some ladies from as far as
Goa-Velha used to sell it every year. They are not seen now anymore at the
feast.

As said, it’s season is around January.
The above pic was taken on the 11th Nov., it may grow upto twice of it size by
Dec/Jan.
Location Dongrim Nuvem – the same road leads to Johny’s Place which was
featured here earlier Re. Lepamchi Coddi.
Had to jump over the high compound wall to capture this and there are many such
trees there (looks like somebody purchased the entire place/property recently
and hence the compound wall).

Fruits:
Brown colour spotted skin, shape being roundish not bigger than the size of
local hen’s egg. Or slightly bigger than a table tennis ball.
The seed inside nearly half the size of the fruit
It’s a soft fleshy sweet fruit (no juice)

We locally call it ‘Mattoma’ (single as 'Mattom')
