In recent times, we have received frequent emails inviting us to join
community groups and social networking websites such as Orkut, Facebook,
Hi5, etc.
In extending an invitation to us to join your community groups and social
networking websites, you have made us feel special and we thank you for
this. However, we would want you to consider the following:
1. I am not a real fan of community groups and social networking websites. I
simply prefer the "good old" email system, where I can send you an email.
2. I do not have the time or inclination to check the many community groups
and social networking websites out there. I would rather spend more time
monitoring my two email addresses on a frequent basis.
3. In case you DO need to know my personal/academic/professional details,
simply send me an email and I will reply to all of your queries. I prefer
this system since it is more personal and it encourages me to have a
one-to-one chat with you.
As such, we will not "accept" any request to join any such community groups
and social networking website. Please do not interprete this as an
insult/offence to you.
