Let me start by saying that I pride myself by saying that I am not a 'SUNDAY'
Christian.

This may suggest a lot, but then I like to call myself 'International'

But, I do not (if I can help it) miss funeral services and/or cremations of
people I know or of Moidekars.
Apart from these, I do not miss Easter and Christmas Services (not the
Mid-night versions as these are prone to be beat-shows)

Part of the reason for my long-time giving by on Sunday Church services is the
'beat Choirs' which I like to call 'beat shows'. They spoil my mood for the
entire day plus more. I have grown up to listening and enjoying 'pedal organ'
music, accompanied by violins, and at feast times, by clarinets and double
basses. But never drum sets. Now-a-days the keyboards comes with the drum beats
and therefore the tamashas in Church services. At one time I remember having
told the local Choir Master, in front of the Parish Priest, that I would waltz
away in the Church aisle if I could find a suitable partner.
:-)

But today was different. It is not to say that at all other times we have beat
shows. No. But this one was most appropriate and soothing, bringing out the
inner emotions that lead to fervent prayers, so much so, that it compelled me
to leave the church in mid service to fetch my mobile which I had accidentally
left behind. I just could not let this opportunity go by, the opportunity that
I was looking and waiting for. Happy to say that except for the Keyboard guy,
all others are made in Moira.

I have particularly commended Fr. Mariano Proenca, the Moira Parish Priest on
this 'Made in Moira' Choir and have told him that he should promote church
choirs sans beats. That it makes old men like me come to church more often.

And I have particularly instructed my dear wife (who was with me today) to make
sure that she gets this or similar choir for my funeral service. To that she
shot back to say " But you didn't want a choir for your funeral among lots of
other things like suit, shoes, coffin etc". "No" I said. "I have changed my
mind on this one"
