Punn Tum Goykar was a seat sizziling play written and directed by Fr Lucas
Rodrigues SFX opened last night to a near capacity audience at the Archbishop
Lanfranc School hall in croydon surrey, a thought proviking drama with all our
traditional fun sketches aimed at retriving our culture from the mongrel
society we live in England today a play so educational that even officials
from the nearby Home office could have attended and claimed on their expense
forms under ethnic education/Goan. Instead of worrying about local 16 & 17 year
olds going to school and who would look after their children to our own people
finding a culture clash where their work colleagues are all one parent families
and have discarded the church our langauge and family life in their quest for
commotion and loss of idintity. From my own working experience in the 1970s
Work Colleagues had difficulty in spelling Melvyn Fernandes but had no
difficulty in spelling Martina Narvitoliova The next show is at Wyvern Theatre
Swindon on Sunday 6th September and at Wembley on Sunday 13 September -Copland
Community Centre. For Tickets contact Francis Dsilva on 07908591759 or Pilar

At the Goa Day event at Aylesford on 23 August I came across a recently
published Konkani/English Dictionary I will try and get details in the next
posting. May I take this opportunity of thanking the Goanet team for keeping
the Goan Presence on the Superhighway for the last fiveteen years - Happy
