My, my, how stupid can India be, to allow the Italian Marines to return to Italy for the second time in a few months, this time ostensibly so that they could cast their vote in Italian National elections. From there the Government of Italy has refused to let them return. Italy's action is a downright slap in the face, disgusting treatment of India. While the Italian Ambassador enjoyed "diplomatic immunity" he waived that immunity by appearing in India's Supreme Court, where he gave an affidavit, promising that the Marines would return to India. Now that he has gone back on his solemn affidavit, and disrespected India's Supreme Court, he should be thrown in Jail for contempt of the Supreme Court of India and let him cool his heels till the Marines are brought back to India to face trial. Where is the outrage in India ? Is this a country or pussycats kowtowing to a European Country because the Madame President of Congress hails from that country ? Does India not have an ounce of self respect ? Or is this a country that lacks a backbone ? Only by showing that India means business can it earn its self respect.
