It is now 2021 and things have become a 100 times worse, making 2008 seem like
the good old days. If 2008 was the
Shoba De had a short sojourn in Goa and went back to Mumbai feeling
recharged which is good for her life and we who read her. She does not
have to do something for Goa. As a journalist and writer and Indian
citizen she has a right to her views.

The 1990s Maharashtrian recipe of agricultural land conversion to
non-agricultural land was applied to Goa in high-steroid fashion. This model
+ 1 to what George wrote.

But how can all this be true? Way back in 2007/2008 the renowned
cut-and-paste maestro Frederick Noronha had informed us right here on
Goanet that it is all an "exaggeration." The real villains, he had
