Let us put this controversy to rest. It is apparent that the notion of a day to celebrate Goa sprouted up spontaneously in various locales all over the world where Goans reside. We will never resolve the issue of who was the first to start the commemoration of World Goa Day. But it is to the credit of Goans outside of Goa, who pine for the homeland that they once knew, that they commemorate a day, not necessarily a fixed date, to celebrate their "goanness".Can we just live it at that ?
