feeled the pinch, they would react. While newspapers reflect society,
they also shape it. So they have responsibilities. They can be either

I just want to add three points to this debate:
One, the confraria has been stripped of much of its
powers by the ArchBishop. All collection of money that
was the unmitigated domain of the Confraria is now
diluted between the parish priest (Fabrica) and the
Confraria.
