Recently, Iopened an a/c with yesbank as I was not happy with Canara Bank services. They even misplaced one of my cheque sent for collection (lost in transit). So far, I am quite happy with the services with this new bank. Outstation cheques are also cleared within shorter period of time and for lot less charges. Canara bank took average 10-14 days where as Yesbank took just 5 days Also, collection charges are just Rs.22 as against Rs.110 by Canara bank. If my bal. say 1,50,000 sits in the saving a/c says for about 6 months, it will fetch me an income (6% interest)about Rs.4500 as against Rs.3,000 (4% interest) from most other 26 nationalised banks. However, NRI savings gets 4% (recently gone up from 3.5%) in all banks. In UK, I think, a bank account get less than 1% (Bank of England latest base Rate at 0.5%). Yesbank is a private sector bank and there are about 21 such banks in the country including HDFC/ICICI etc More info here yesto...@yesbank.in If you are also with yesbank and have anything to share good as well as bad, please do it here. Thanks.
