Question in English paper raises question
There is a hue and cry over the question In English paper .Only the
sensibilities of patriotic politicians as usual are hurt . There is not a
single comment from any enlightened and educated citizens in any English
daily .What is inappropriate is not sacrilegious Politicians like ostrich bury
their faces in mounds of sands to deny and accept the truth
Mr Commissioner please tell us the number of Portuguese holders and those on
waiting list . Kindly inform us the reason why Goans are forced to do so. ?
Goans in particular like to know why thousands are holding and applying for
Indian passports? It is alright if the truth is not made public .Goans are all
aware of the fact of no job opportunities ,as has been seen umpteen times that
Engineering, doctoral post graduate , highly qualified students are applying
for menial and clerical jobs. in numbers far exceeding vacancies avaiable
We are facing a monumental problem of transporting hoards of Goans employed in
every corner of the world due to lack of opportunities. here and that is the
gospel truth .We are asking why non Goans are employed when suitable candidates
are available.? It is only the politicians in denial mode on what it costs for
any job in the Govt Why language and domicile clause not strictly enforced to
protect Goans employability?
Portuguese passport is gate way to European countries where our Goans are
gainfully employed and ate fuelling economy by their remittances .Opposition
leader is blaming ruling party. Does he suggest that exodus started with BJP in
Goa? BJP has tightened the procedure to get Portuguese passport and thus
created hurdles for those who want to migrate The question is not going to
pollute minds of any youngsters as it is the army of youth opting for
Portuguese Passport .What is the cost of obtaining Portuguese is any body’s
guess and the process involveled .Why people go through enormous pain to
obtain ? The financial position of such persons is woeful with only hope of
making it happen. Yes the question could have been avoided, but is neither
anti national, influencing the minds of youngsters .It may be at best in
appropriate but real hard truth and politicians want to deceive themselves by
crying hoarse .Please place the facts of non catholics in possession of
Portuguese passports to debunk the myth of religious twist Politicians find
such opportunities to profess ,flaunt their patriotism and Nationalism on
their sleeves
It is possible the paper setter and moderator may be deeply hurt at the truth
of migration and also of unemployed and exploited
They should be praised and saluted for politicians creating controversies and
thus focussing the plight of educated unemployed in Goa. Where are dissenting
voices of patents and public?
