where it is available for Rs 200. A village profile of Raibandar. Authored
in Devanagari Konkani by the wife of Aravind Bhatikar, IAS.
She has earlier authored two books -- *Palak aani Bhurgi* and *Mothering
and Smothering*.
Most Goan expats are thought to be Catholic. This is a story from the Hindu
Goan diaspora (to the US), and makes for an interesting read. The writer is
an engineer, whose words give insight into the Goa of the 1960s and
subsequent.
