Planning for art conservation movement in Goa

Anupam Sah, a heritage conservation practitioner, educator and consultant
is the Head of Art Conservation, Research and Training, CSMVS Museum Art
Conservation Centre, Mumbai. He is also the Founder Director of the
non-profit Himalayan Society for Heritage and Art Conservation and of
Anupam Heritage Lab (India) Pvt. Ltd. His aim is not just to conserve and
restore art but to offer institutions and individuals the kind of training
and advice on preventive conservation that will preclude the need for
expensive restoration. He has conducted numerous conservation projects and
training programmes in India and overseas. He is at present in Goa with his
team to conduct a workshop on "Preparation of Base Documents for Care of
Christian Art”.

Victor Hugo Gomes is the creator, curator and owner of ‘Goa Chitra’ an
ethnographic museum in Benaulim, Goa, showcasing traditional Goan farming
implements and other Goan antiques.

Ramesh Mulimani is the Superintending Archaeologist at ASI, Goa Circle.

Savia Viegas is an art historian and writer. Her book on Angelo da Fonseca,
a Goan artist of world renown will be published shortly.
