Stuti, Live in Goa - Stuti/MLS Baroque Ensemble The Stuti Choral Ensemble of Goa performs under the direction of Miguel Cotta, LTCL, and piano accompaniment by Pearl Viegas, ATCL, and the MLS' Baroque Ensemble (Strings & Flute) led by Ashley do Rego, LTCL. The Baroque Ensemble is the work of: Vashley do Rego (leader), Chernol Mendonca and Jeanne Ribeiro (on Violin I), Eshvita N Menezes, Judyline Fernandes and Chriselle Mendonca (Violin II), Elvina Fernandes do Regio (Viola), Vasco Dias (Cello), Antonio Calisto Vas (Double Bas) and Valerie Menezes and Yeshurun D'Cruz (Flute). Incidentally, Stuti was formed in 2009, when some music lovers from Panjim, St Inez and neighbouring areas, professionals in varied fields but motivated by a deep love for music, came together to "do something for our beautiful Goa through choral music". It is named after the Konkani word for *praise*. In 2009-10, Studi performed in Saligao, Chinchinim, Aldona, Margao, Porvorim and Panjim under the direction of Nauzer Daruwalla and Nigel Dixon. It is entirely a labour of love. Members meet every Monday and Wednesday at the Kala Academy's Rehearsal Hall from 6.30 pm to 8 pm. This was the first concert for Stuti in the year 2011. According to information released here, it will be performing in Bangalore on December 15, 2011, in a Christmas Music Festival being organised by the *Deccan Herald*, alongside Mumbai's famed Paranjoti Choir, and other performers from Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore...
