It would be great if somebody could PLEASE explain this a little bit further. I'm having the same issue, I can start a server for a helloworld sample, but I can't browse it! I have Vista Ultimate 64, logged with administrator privileges, and already tried with shuttind down the firewall, starting the CMD as an administrator.. and notthing seems to happen.. everytime I go to http://localhost:8080 I get the "internet explorer can't display the page you requested" Installation of the appengine sdk and python was done step-by-step according to the Getting Started Guide.
