I too am having the same issues. At approximately 4:00pm West Australian time, the application starts to misbehave. I am starting to see latencies around the 70,000 ms mark, and lots of deadline exceeded errors. Most of these are at simple page load steps, not even doing real processing. The application is unusable for about 45 minutes to an hour, every day.
It has been consistently bad for about a month now.
