One of the main reason why the WWW grew so fast is how easy it is (or
at least was, back when HTML was actually human-readable) to do "view
source".

I think it would help a lot if there was such an option for GAE apps.
At the discretion of the app owner of course (unlike HTML). As a
programmer I may be happy to share the source if it's very easy. Can't
the admin panel have a simple "share source" check box? If selected,
then GAE can auto-generate a page that shows all the source of the app
to anyone who goes to http://myapp.com/viewsource (or whatever
equivalent URL convention Google chooses). Obviously default value for
the checkbox should be "no".

I am not talking about collaboration/open-source here. Just simplify
the plumbing of showing the source. All copyright/patent issues still
remain.
