Strange, when I bought my domain through App Engine, it went to E-Nom,
not Godaddy. Maybe they rotate through providers.

When you buy domain during Google Apps registration it goes to
GoDaddy.com
I never measured the speed of DNS resolutions. But for me more
important was how fast you can get somebody on the line from DNS
hosting company to fix the problem if something does wrong. I'm with
easydns for this reason.
