as well as the CNAME pointing to ghs.google.com, you also need to
configure Google Apps for your Domain to enable that domain for your
app. You should be able to do this at the following URL (replace the
Xs with the app_id for your app):

http://appengine.google.com/deployment/newdomain?app_id=XXXXXX
