Ok, problem SOLVED. I had disabled 3rd-party cookies in my browsers.
That was the problem. So if you are experiencing the same issue, make
sure you don't have 3rd-party cookies disabled.

Enabled Chrome's third party cookies and worked - then disabled it
again and works OK
So it is not about disabling 3rd party cookies but just switching

Ok, I did some more checking and found that I *can* access the datastore
admin using my very same account on my wife's Mac. So, the problem is NOT
my account.
I used FF and Chrome just the same as on my computer. On her computer I can
access the datastore no problem. On mine I get infinite
I suggest loading/opening the FireBug window and selecting the Net tab or
running a proxy server like Microsoft Fiddler
This will give you a blow by blow account of what is being loaded (or not).
You can then determine which http request is failing to succeed.

that my computers system clock was using the wrong date (presumably a
security feature to prevent replay attacks or something).
