My app i-emote.appspot.com also was impacted by this and the logs clearly
show it. In addition, I was in the application when this happened and I
experienced it as did my users, Luckily, my app is pretty resilient but
still, this is now way to run a business :)

A few minutes ago there must have been a huge spike. Had ~3000 errors
in a few seconds.
