To clarify, by an empty blob I mean a blob that has size == 0 and
filename == None. Created an issue for that [1].

Together with [2] it doesn't really add up to a smooth blobstore
experience... btw. any idea what squash-1 label means in [2]? I'm
guessing it's referring to a bug squashing session, any idea when it
might be happening?
