Just note that App Engine Launcher doesn't seem to use the default
system python, my default python is python2.5, but had to go to app
engine launcher's settings to force it to use python2.5, otherwise it
throws _ctype error.

I solved this by making App Engine Launcher use Python 1.5 (path: /
usr/bin/python2.5). By default it was using 1.6.
