We use JDO on top of datastore and also on MySQL (for Tomcat for example). Had to work through a few limitations for complete JDO portability across both, but it works and we release and test same cide on mysql/ Tomcat also.
Have to work on JMail setup on Linux when we get time for email sending portability, but don't expect problems.
