I want to know the opportunities given , if any?
And how much candidates manage to get those?

Ok, I am working in CDAC as researcher. My work is related to data
mining, machine translation , natural language processing and others.
Then what is the chance if I get the position in top 25?(I know it is
difficult but not impossible)

I think we should be more focused in discussing problem and extracting
joyful moment out of it, rather discussing who gets to google.
Discussing these matters make us waste valuable time and even worse,
the desire to solve problem. Some one among the friends will turn up
to be "more practical" (an

I think the answer to this question is what you would expect it to be: doing
well on Code Jam is a signal to us that you're good at algorithms and coding
small projects. It won't get you hired on
Thanks Bartholomew. It will add to my enthusiasm. I asked since in some
competition even winners doesn't get edge in hiring process.

Like ramanuj said, I think that you should participate for fun and to
learn new algorithms/approaches/tricks. Getting into the first 500 is
hard already. I wouldn't think too much in the top 25, even if I was
one of the best.
Last year's codejam didn't go well for me (1429º and I expected to be
