1) make it compatible with parts of the code (namely, CPU and Sound
cores) that were copyrighted by other people and licensed under a MAME-
similar license
2)
I also share this curiosity about the project's source code.

Recently, I have been getting quite a few 500 errors from Google code
(and Google groups too). It happens quite often, not super often, but
frequently enough to make me concerned. Is anybody else experiencing
this issue too?
